Arrears and reminders

Know who is behind, by how much and since when

Arrears found at the end of the month are found too late. Estate Ledger shows them the day a bill goes overdue, oldest first.

Every overdue bill, aged

A bill is overdue once its due date and the grace days (five by default) have passed. The arrears list ages every one: 0 to 30, 31 to 60, 61 to 90 and over 90 days, by property and by tenant, with the totals.

The follow-up log

Each call, visit, WhatsApp or SMS is logged on the lease with what was owed at the time and the date the tenant promised to pay. The next person to call sees the last promise before they dial.

Reminders in one tap

Estate Ledger writes the reminder with the tenant’s name, the unit, the amount and the due date, and opens it in your own WhatsApp or SMS. You send it; nothing is sent on its own.

  • A new bill, a bill due in three days, an overdue bill, a receipt and a notice: each has its own words, which you can change in Settings.
  • Estate Ledger charges nothing for messages: they go from your phone, as your own messages.

Former tenants who still owe

What is left after a move-out and the deposit stays on the ended lease, in its own list, so it is not forgotten when the unit is let again.

Can Estate Ledger send the reminders automatically?

No. Each reminder is a message you send from your own WhatsApp or SMS in one tap, with the words already written.
