For caretakers
For the caretakers who collect the rent
The caretaker is where the money changes hands. Estate Ledger gives them the receipt book, the meter sheet and the repair list in their phone’s browser.
In the phone’s browser
There is nothing to install. A caretaker opens the web portal, signs in and records payments, meter readings and repair requests. It needs a connection: each record is in the office’s books the moment it is saved, and without a signal nothing saves, so enter it when the signal returns.
A receipt on the tenant’s phone
Share the receipt on WhatsApp or SMS from the caretaker’s own phone, there and then. It is also a PDF, to print from a browser.
Only their buildings
A caretaker sees the tenants, units and balances of the buildings they are assigned to, and nothing else.
What stays with the office
Moving a tenant in or out, reversals, payouts and expenses are for the office roles, so money going out stays with the people you trust with it.
